CONFERENCE AIMS

Spatial OMICS:

between challenges and opportunities

This workshop is dedicated to the multiple spatial OMICs techniques. Given the recent advances in spatial transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics, researchers are often looking for the best approach to investigate the complex biology of the tissue microenvironment.

Plenty of information arise from spatial biology, along with technical difficulties, huge amounts of data generated and possible biases. Starting from a general introduction on pros- and cons of the different spatial OMICS techniques the participants will be guided to choose the best spatial approach to address their scientific questions and to perform their study, from theoretical design to data interpretation, in the most rigorous and accurate way.

The presence of specific companies working in the field will give the possibility to be acquainted with the latest technologies in the field. Moreover, internationally recognized scientists working in spatial OMICs will present their research, discussing challenges and opportunities. The workshop will also offer large networking opportunities to foster new scientific collaborations between participants and experts in the field.
